I Methods of Giving
The Institute accepts contributions by personal check, by bank
transfer, and — for those who must — by credit card via the
Institute's electronic giving portal. Larger gifts are typically
arranged in correspondence with the Treasurer.
The Institute does not, as a matter of standing policy, accept
anonymous gifts in excess of one hundred dollars in any single fiscal
year. Gifts of property, securities, or interest in real estate are
considered on a case-by-case basis.
II On Tax Deductibility
The Institute is a recognized 501(c)(3) organization within the
meaning of the United States Internal Revenue Code. Contributions
from U.S. taxpayers are tax-deductible to the fullest extent
permitted by law. Donors residing outside the United States should
consult a qualified adviser regarding the treatment of gifts under
their applicable jurisdiction.
III Recurring Patronage
Recurring contributions are arranged on a quarterly schedule, payable
on the first business day of January, April, July, and October. The
Institute regards quarterly recurring giving as the most administratively
graceful method of sustained support, and we are pleased to extend a
small token of recognition — typically a letterpress card —
to any patron entering into such an arrangement.
