The American Institute for Michaels is dedicated to the general betterment of all Michaels. We connect and support people who share this given name — encouraging them to strengthen their communities, pursue excellence, and act with honesty and compassion in their work and civic life.
II Origin
It started the way many great organizations have started — in the freshman dorm room of two creative and innovative polymaths. Michael Doyle and Michael Power founded AIM as the first body solely dedicated to those who share its forename, in the conviction that a common name could be a generative axis around which to organize cross-disciplinary community.

Founder & President
Departed Saint Michael's College to formalize connections among Michaels worldwide. Oversees Institute-wide strategy and the founding chapters.
Michael Marcowitz
Director of Finance
A 25-year Silicon Valley venture capitalist and the author of nearly a dozen investment books. Stewards the Institute's endowment and member-facing financial programs.
Michael Wilson
Director of Local Engagement
A native San Diegan focused on elevating local awareness of issues affecting Michaels. Founder of the Early Adulthood Michael Outreach (EAMO) initiative.
Michael Wan
Human Resources Director
Psychology graduate of the University of Pittsburgh; MBA, University of Virginia. Leads the Institute's people operations across all chapters.

A former commercial real estate professional and seasoned operator in micro-crypto-currency exchange markets. Manages governance and minutes.
